From Dr. M’s Desk: Driving Assessment Completion & Performance Metrics

Contents

Dear Colleagues,

Today’s focus is simple and critical: ensuring that patients complete their digital assessments and understanding the metrics that define program success.

What you’ll learn in the video:

  • Exactly how Completion and Performance Rates are calculated in real time.
  • Why a finished assessment is both clinically valuable and instantly billable.
  • Best practices for front‑desk engagement that raise completion by 20‑30%

QHSLab measures success in two key ways:
Completion Rate – the percentage of assessments that were sent and subsequently completed by patients. Each completed assessment represents a potential billable encounter.

Performance Rate – a composite metric that adjusts the completion rate to include only those patients who both (a) meet clinical criteria for follow-up and (b) are present for their scheduled appointment.

We already automate the heavy lifting: assessments go out the night before, reminders are sent automatically, and our call center can follow up as needed. But when the patient walks through your door, the front‑desk team becomes the final link to success.

Check your dashboard today! What are your current Completion and Performance Rates?
If they’re below target, let’s optimize. Train front‑desk staff on on‑site completion, leverage automated reminders, and reach out for additional call‑center support. Success starts with a single finished assessment.
